CHICAGO – December 2, 2024 – Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. ("Harbor"), an asset manager that curates a select suite of actively managed ETFs, mutual funds, and collective investment trusts, announced today that Saumen Chattopadhyay, CFA has joined the firm as Head of Portfolio Solutions. This newly established role reflects Harbor's commitment to expand its customized investment solutions for wealth management clients beyond its core product offerings.
In his new position, Mr. Chattopadhyay will lead our efforts to extend Harbor's multi-asset solutions capabilities with distinct customized models across a range of platforms and identify opportunities for Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) services.
Leveraging his extensive experience in building model portfolio solutions, Chattopadhyay will partner closely with Harbor's Multi-Asset Solutions Team (MAST), which aims to deliver compelling asset allocation solutions via a distinctive "Business Cycle" investment philosophy. Together they will build customized models with a goal to provide distinct value for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and their clients.
Chattopadhyay will also play a key role in shaping Harbor's long-term vision for integrating alternative investments into its customized models and will report to Kristof Gleich, President & Chief Investment Officer." Chattopadhyay brings nearly three decades of experience in financial services to his new role at Harbor. Most recently, he served as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of OneDigital Investment Advisors, where he oversaw a $115 billion investment platform and led a team of 10 investment professionals. Prior to that, he was CIO of Carson Group. He began his investment career as a key member of Harbor's Investment Team, where he spent nearly a decade through 2010.
